Pupil Premium

What is Pupil Premium?

Pupil Premium is funding allocated to schools for a specific purpose of boosting the attainment of
disadvantaged pupils.

Funding is based on children who have registered for a free school meal (FSM) at any point in the last 6 years, have a parent who works in the Armed Forces or a child that has been in Social Care for more than 6 months.

Its purpose is to provide schools with additional resources, outside of the school budget, to deal with
inequalities for families with differing/challenging incomes.

For the 2017/2018 financial year, the Pupil Premium value is £1,320 for any pupil who
has been registered for Free School Meals at any time during the last 6 years.
